PARKVILLE, MD—A solemn, annual tradition will return to the Parkville area this weekend.
For the thirteenth consecutive year, volunteers will place 2,977 American flags along Putty Hill Avenue, from Old Harford Road to Harford Road, in honor of those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The 2024 Path of Honor will go up on Friday morning, September 6, to commemorate the upcoming 23rd anniversary of that fateful day.
The annual event is organized by The Hope and Peace Foundation.
The group will hold its annual Patriot Day Ride on Saturday, September 7th. The ride will go from Darlington to Parkville, ending at McAvoy’s.
