UPDATE: Maryland State Police confirm that there has been at least one fatality.  Mountain Road is currently closed at Jerusalem Road.

JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a serious crash in the Joppa area.

The crash was reported at just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, in the area of Mountain Road and Singer Road.

One patient is reportedly in trauma arrest and a rescue is in progress.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
