Heat Advisory issued for Wednesday in Baltimore area, heat index to reach 109

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Wednesday in the Baltimore area.

The advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 28, 2024.

Forecasters say heat index values of 105 to 109 degrees expected.  Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
