TOWSON, MD—A 43-year-old man has died after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a two-alarm apartment fire that broke out in Towson overnight.



The Baltimore County Fire Department says fire broke out at an apartment building in the 8400-block of Greenway Road (21286) at just after midnight on August 26, sending flames rushing through the building’s second floor. When firefighters arrived, they found a man on the second floor who they rescued by breaking a window and utilizing a ladder.

He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. A woman and three children who were also injured in the fire were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
