Baltimore County woman arrested after vulnerable adult dies in her care

GWYNN OAK, MD—Homicide detectives have arrested and charged a Baltimore County woman following a vulnerable adult abuse investigation.

Officers responded to the 1400-block of Kirkwood Road (21207) at the request of medics. When officers arrived, they located 56-year-old Antoinette Gray in deplorable conditions. Detectives later determined the victim was in the care of 34-year-old Brittany Brooks due to her multiple medical ailments.



Gray was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead on August 15, 2024, due to her injuries.

Brooks has been charged with vulnerable adult-related charges and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
