BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will remain in effect until 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Forecasters say damaging winds and isolated large hail will be the main threats associated with any storms that develop, along with isolated instances of flooding.  A Flood Watch is also in effect.

Resident should be sure to have a way to get warnings via phone, TV, radio, or internet.
