MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Monday announced that he will recommend Neighborhood Commons zoning for 225 acres and over 25 acres of RC 7 zoning along Pulaski Highway near the Bird River.
This is part of Issue 5-055, filed by Councilman Marks as part of the Comprehensive Zoning Map Process.
Neighborhood Commons zoning protects open space throughout Baltimore County.
“I am taking steps to ensure that we protect open space along the Bird River and reduce sediment pollution in this waterway,” said Councilman Marks.
Josh Sines, president of the Essex-Middle River Civic Council, thanked Councilman Marks for his work to limit development in sensitive areas. “As a lifetime resident of the waterfront, I would like to acknowledge Councilman Marks’ efforts and his partnership with our organization.”
The Comprehensive Zoning Map will be adopted by the County Council on August 27th.
