Flood Watch issued for Baltimore area through Tuesday night

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Baltimore area, including Baltimore County and Harford County.

The Flood Watch will be in effect through late Tuesday night.

Recent heavy rainfall has caused flash flooding in central and northeastern Maryland in recent days, including several inches on Tuesday in isolated spots.

More torrential rainfall is possible on Tuesday afternoon as multiple rounds of moisture push through, which may result in flash flooding. Generally, most places will get another inch or so, but isolated spots could see 2 to 3 inches of rainfall in a relatively short period of time.

Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts.
