29-year-old killed in fatal Woodlawn shooting, reward offered

WOODLAWN, MD—Police are investigating after a 29-year-old man was killed in a shooting over the weekend.

At just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, officers responded to the 6800-block of Liberty Road (21207) for a report of shots fired.



When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male who was unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as 29-year-old Tracey Wayman Hankins Jr.

Homicide detectives have now taken over the investigation. As they investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, detectives ask anyone with information pertinent to the case to contact 410-307-2020.
