BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and a Flood Watch for Saturday in the Baltimore area.

The Thunderstorm Watch will be in effect until 9:00 p.m. and the Flood Watch will be in effect until 10:00 p.m. on August 3, 2024.

Forecasters say multiple rounds of thunderstorms are possible throughout the day.  The storms may be capable of producing up to two inches of rain per hour, with up to five inches per hour possible in some areas.

Flash flooding is possible throughout the day on Saturday.
