Maryland State Police charge six in connection to illegal car rallies

BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland State Police have charged six people, including an Essex man, in connection with three car rallies that took place in Prince George’s County this past month.

The task force was formed in June 2024 to address the illegal driving events in which car streets are blocked for dangerous stunts, traffic is disrupted, property is damaged, and there are risks to public safety.

The following people were charged in connection to the car rallies in Laurel, Greenbelt, Beltsville, and Upper Marlboro, as identified by the Maryland Car Rally Task Force:

  • Terrell Marshall, 22, of Suitland;
  • Alex Agustin, 22, of Laurel;
  • Kyle Allen, 24, of Lanham;
  • Jarard Walters, 21, of Essex;
  • Malik Coleman, 24, of Baltimore; and
  • London Flores, 19, of Silver Spring.

All were charged in connection with illegal exhibition driving events.

The Maryland Car Rally Task Force says that there will be increased patrols in the identified areas along with comprehensive investigations to identify and charge those involved. The efforts are a “proactive approach” that includes enhanced traffic enforcement and the initiation of criminal investigations.

The task force is dedicated to “mitigating the impact of these dangerous events on public safety” and creating a safer environment for Maryland residents, according to the task force’s website.
