BEL AIR, MD—The family members of Rachel Morin will be holding a Remembrance Walk in her honor in August.

On August 5, 2023, Morin was brutally murdered while walking on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air.

In June, 23-year-old Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, a citizen of El Salvador who came to the U.S. illegally in February 2023, was taken into custody and charged with Morin’s murder.

The Rachel Morin Honor & Remembrance Walk will be held at the Williams Street entrance to the Ma & Pa Trail at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

“We the family of Rachel Morin, would like to invite all men, women and children (if you would like) from the community to join us on Sunday, August 4th for the Honor & Rembrance [sic] walk for Rachel Morin.

“Together, as a family and a community, we can honor and remember her as the woman who was so full of life. Please join us as we pray and honor our beloved Rachel.

“We will meet at 3pm at the William [sic] Street entrance. There will then be a family statement and prayer before we start the walk. We will walk to the bridge and those who wish can lay flowers down and share a memory of Rachel if they have one.”
