9-year-old drowns at Loch Raven Reservoir

GLEN ARM, MD—A child has drowned at Loch Raven Reservoir, according to police.

Authorities tell NottinghamMD.com that, at just after 5 p.m. on Monday, July 15, officers responded to the Loch Raven Reservoir in the Glen Arm area to assist with a water rescue.



At the scene, a 9-year-old child that had been submerged was located by fire department personnel.

The child was pulled from the water and transported to an area hospital, where the juvenile was pronounced dead.
