BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for Monday in the Baltimore area.
The watch will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 15, 2024. Forecasters say to expect dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of up to 110 degrees possible.
Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
Very warm and humid conditions will persist into the overnight hours. Residents should be sure to stay hydrated and find ways to stay cool. Another dangerously hot day is expected on Tuesday.
