15-year-old arrested after crashing stolen car into two police vehicles, fleeing the scene

BALTIMORE, MD—Police say a juvenile is in custody after he stole a vehicle, struck two police vehicles, and fled the scene.

At just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, officers with the Baltimore Police Department received a hit on the License Plate Reader (LPR) system in the Frankford neighborhood for a stolen vehicle that was involved in an armed robbery in southwest Baltimore.

Officers responded to the area and set up a perimeter. Police located the vehicle and attempted to box it in, at which point the driver accelerated his vehicle, striking two police vehicles.  The driver then fled the area.

A police helicopter was able to locate the vehicle in the 5900-block of Pulaski Highway, where the vehicle became disabled. Officers arrested a 15-year-old male.

The suspect was taken to juvenile booking for processing.
