KINGSVILLE, MD—A Kingsville butcher shop is mourning the loss of its founder.

John Greene, founder of Greene’s Family Butcher Shop, passed away this week, according to a statement.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our father’s passing,” Greene’s Family Butcher Shop said on Facebook. “We are deeply saddened by this loss and ask for your prayers, support, and understanding as we navigate through this difficult time.”

Greene’s Family Butcher Shop opened in 2019 at 12037 Belair Road. The owner of Greene’s Family Butcher Shop was one of only a handful of independent butchers in the Baltimore area.
