BALTIMORE, MD—A NASA rocket launch will be visible in Maryland on Thursday morning.
A RockOn sounding rocket and RockSat-C launch will launch from Wallops on June 18, 2024. The launch window opens at 5:30 a.m. EDT.
The project will carry student experiments to suborbital space. These missions provide students with real-world, hands-on opportunities building and launching an experiment.
Portions of the mid-Atlantic region, weather permitting, may catch a glimpse of the rocket in the sky. The Wallops Visitor Center will open at 4:30 a.m. EDT on June 20 for launch viewing.
The RockOn and RockSat-C programs are conducted in partnership with the Colorado Space Grant Consortium and Virginia Space Grant Consortium.
A livestream of the launch will be available below on YouTube.
