ESSEX, MD—LoonAsea has announced a grand opening date in Essex.

The former River Watch Restaurant & Marina was purchased by the owners of Looney’s last year.  This will mark the popular chain’s fifth location, with the others being in Perry Hall, Bel Air, Maple Lawn (Howard County), and College Park.

LoonAsea will open on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

“LoonAsea Maryland is now a reality” the restaurant posted on Facebook this week. “We will be open for business starting Thursday June 20th at Noon! We can’t thank you enough for not only the support, but the patience! We cannot wait to share with you the changes and the new vibe coming to Hopkins Creek.”

LoonAsea is located at 207 Nanticoke Road in Essex (21221).
