TOWSON, MD—The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will take place later this week, and the Baltimore County Police Department will once again be participating.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
This will mark the 38th year that Baltimore County police officers and Special Olympics athletes have joined in supporting the annual fundraiser. During the event, the Special Olympics torch will be carried by both police officers and Special Olympics athletes.
Around 50 to 75 runners will line up for the three-mile run that starts and ends at the Public Safety Building in Towson.
The Baltimore County Police Department has raised thousands of dollars over the years to support Special Olympics Maryland.
