Winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Maryland

BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland has its first Mega Millions millionaire of 2024. The lucky player, who bought a second-tier winning ticket in Silver Spring in the Tuesday, June 4 drawing, shares the spotlight with those who bought $10,000 winning third-tier tickets in Bethesda and Ocean City.

The $1 million winning ticket was sold at Montgomery County’s Aspen Hills Citgo, located at 13615 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The $10,000 winning tickets were sold at Talbert’s Ice & Beverage Service at 5234 River Road in Bethesda and 7-Eleven at 106 North Division Street in Ocean City.

While one player in Illinois won the $560 million jackpot, Maryland had plenty of winners, too. A total of 23,694 Maryland players scored prizes ranging from $2 to $1 million in the drawing. The lucky numbers to match are 19, 37, 40, 63 and 69; the Mega Ball was 17.

Maryland Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
