Pedestrian struck on Belair Road dies

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The pedestrian that was struck on Belair Road on Friday morning has died.

At just after 8:30 a.m. on May 31, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian that was struck in the 9300-block of Belair Road (21236).



The pedestrian was crossing northbound Belair Road near Cedarside Drive when they were struck by a 2016 Nissan Versa.  The pedestrian, 73-year-old Om Bahadur Shrestha, was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene. This crash remains part of an ongoing investigation.

Route 1 was shut down for several hours while the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team investigated the crash.
