BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the Baltimore area and much of central and eastern Maryland.

The watch will remain in effect through 11 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Forecasters say severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing tornadoes this evening.

Hail up to the size of ping pong balls and 70 mph wind gusts are also possible.

Residents should stay weather-aware throughout the evening hours.
