KINGSVILLE, MD—Crews are on the scene of an electric vehicle fire in the Kingsville area.

The fire broke out at around 9 p.m. in the 12500-block of Harford Road (21087).

HazMat units are on the scene, as are units from Fallston Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company, Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, and the Baltimore County Fire Department.

“Unfortunately, there is no one method to manage an EV battery fire,” says FVFAC. “Rather three methods used globally have emerged as best practice: Cool, Burn, Submerge.”

There has been no word on any injuries. Motorists should use an alternate route.
