Councilman Marks announces funding for Carney drainage project

CARNEY, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Monday announced funding in the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 budget to design a drainage system in Carney.

The project will focus on Harwood Road and will intercept persistent sump pump discharges into the roadway.

The project is budgeted at $250,000, with construction expected in March of 2025.

“I would like to thank the County Executive and Department of Public Works and Transportation for all their support in addressing this persistent drainage problem,” said Councilman Marks. “This issue was highlighted at last year’s Budget Town Hall Meeting.”
