Police seeking tips in 2019 Rosedale cold case homicide [VIDEO]

ROSEDALE, MD—It has been five years since the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Kitera Bishop, and police are still searching for clues.

At around 1 a.m. on May 16, 2019, someone walked behind Kitera Bishop’s residence in the 8800-block of Fontana Lane in Rosedale (21237) and began to fire multiple shots into the family’s TV room. While there were others with Kitera at the time, they survived. Kitera did not. A second victim, a 26-year-old man, also sustained a gunshot wound to his hand. The suspect fled prior to police arriving on the scene.

For Kitera’s father, talking about this tragedy still brings him to the brink of tears. The question that lingers is: why? Detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Homicide and Missing Persons Cold Case Squad also have some unanswered questions.
