BALTIMORE, MD—Governor Wes Moore has ordered the Maryland Flag lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Friday, May 3, 2024.
The flag is being lowered to commemorate Fallen Heroes Day.
This day honors Maryland police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
A list of those Marylanders who have been honored since Fallen Heroes Day began can be found online here (PDF).
