Baltimore County financial analyst brings home $2 million lottery prize

BALTIMORE, MD—A Baltimore County man will never forget his visit to a  local liquor store as he brought home a $2 million prize on a lottery ticket.

The occasional Maryland Lottery player was driving through the area for work and needed to fill up his car with gas. At the same time, he stopped to buy a 200X The Cash scratch-off ticket.



According to the Windsor Mill resident, he scratched his ticket inside the store and it revealed a “200X” symbol, with a prize of $10,000 beneath the symbol. The rules of the game state that the prize shown gets multiplied by 200. That quickly escalated into a $2 million prize. He scanned the ticket and confirmed the prize.

“I didn’t think it was real and I still don’t think it is real,” he said with excitement.

The financial analyst plans to use some of his prize to pay off bills, but is still undecided on how he plans to spend the rest.

The winning ticket was purchased in East Baltimore at Busy Bee Restaurant, Bar and Liquors at 4502 Erdman Avenue.
