Southbound I-95 shut down due to crash near Joppa

UPDATE: The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reports that this crash involves an overturned van and occurred at around 11:15 a.m.

JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a crash along Interstate 95 near the Joppa area.

The crash was reported at around noon on Tuesday along southbound I-95 just past the Mountain Road exit, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

Southbound I-95 has been shut down and traffic is backed up to the MD 24 exit in Harford County.

There has been no word on any injuries.  Motorists should use caution in the area.
