NOTTINGHAM, MD—Residents in the Dunfield community got a brief scare on Friday morning when police issued a shelter-in-place order.
At around 7:15 a.m. on April 12, the Baltimore County Police Department asked residents and commuters in the area of Dunfield Road and Belair Road (21236) to shelter in place in reference to a report of shots fired.
Authorities asked residents to shelter indoors and out of sight with doors locked.
At just before 8 a.m., police lifted the order. Officials said there was no active threat regarding the incident and the report of shots fired was unable to be verified.
