Dundalk, Jarrettsville men killed in Harford County head-on crash

PYLESVILLE, MD—Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on Thursday morning in Harford County.

The victims have been identified as Matthew Rockstroh, 36, of Dundalk, and Bryan Frei, 44, of Jarrettsville. Rockstroh was driving a Chevrolet Equinox that was involved in the crash and Frei was driving a Toyota Tacoma.



At just 8:30 a.m. on April 11, troopers from the Maryland State Police responded to Maryland Route 165 at St. Mary’s Road in Pylesville for a report of a multi-vehicle crash. According to the preliminary investigation, a 2014 Chevy Equinox crossed over from the southbound lane into the northbound lane of traffic and crashed head-on into Toyota Tacoma.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other passengers in either vehicle.

Route 165 was closed in both directions for about five hours following the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
