WHITE MARSH, MD—The carnival being held at White Marsh Mall this weekend had to be shut down early on Saturday night, according to Councilman David Marks.
Police responded to the mall area after several large groups of juveniles began fighting and disrupting the carnival.
Air and K-9 units were called in to disperse the crowd, and some spillover was reported in neighboring communities. Reports indicate that a paddy wagon was brought in to haul away groups of disrupters.
“I regret I have to pass this along, particularly since my office and many residents were concerned about this event and the police precinct required security measures,” said Councilman Marks. “I do not have any additional information. It is clear, however, that White Marsh Mall should never again allow an event like this on its grounds.”
