Baltimore County business owner buys winning $50,000 scratch-off ticket in Nottingham

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A Baltimore County woman makes it a point to grab a scratch-off ticket whenever she stops at a store that sells Maryland Lottery games. Recently, the business owner found herself at a local grocery store shopping for Easter dinner. Not only did she leave with the needed ingredients for the meal, she also found the recipe for a high-dollar prize, thanks to a top-prize winning $ (dollar sign) scratch-off worth $50,000.

The lucky woman bought her $5 instant ticket at the Giant store located at 8905 Belair Road in Nottingham.

It wasn’t until she reached home later that day that she scratched off her instant ticket. The play area showed a match between one of the winning numbers and her number selections for a corresponding $50,000 top prize.

The scratch-off player was able to confirm that her instant ticket was a winner by scanning it using the Maryland Lottery app.

A resident of a small town north of Nottingham, the winner plans to use her prize to pay bills.
