Flood Watch issued for Baltimore area through Wednesday afternoon

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will be in effect through Wednesday afternoon, April 3, 2024.

Forecasters say multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through Wednesday. One to two inches of rain is most likely, with localized amounts up to 4 inches possible. This may result in flooding of small streams and creeks. Flash flooding is possible.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Residents should remain weather-aware throughout the day on Wednesday.
