UPDATE 4: A prayer vigil will be held in Dundalk on Tuesday evening.
UPDATE 3: The Port of Baltimore has suspended all vessel traffic, flight restrictions have been issued, and County Executive Johnny Olszewski has issued a statement.
UPDATE 2: Authorities say at least 8 victims have been confirmed so far and at least 6 construction workers are unaccounted for.
UPDATE: Governor Wes Moore has declared a state of emergency. At least 2 people have been pulled from the water.

BALTIMORE, MD—Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed overnight after being struck by a cargo ship.
The vessel appeared to lose power twice before colliding with the bridge at around 2 a.m. The entire span then collapsed into the water.
Rescue operations are still in progress following reports of multiple people and vessels in the water.
I-695 is closed in the area of the Key Bridge. Motorists should use an alternate route.
