MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The Oliver Beach Community Hall was heavily damaged in an overnight fire.
The Oliver Beach Improvement Association says there were no injuries and that no one was inside at the time of the fire, but the hall will be unavailable until further notice.
The association will be contacting those that had an event booked there to arrange refunding any deposits.
“We are saddened to announce that there was a fire at our OBIA Community Hall on Friday evening,” OBIA said on Facebook. “At this point, we don’t know how long the hall will be unavailable, but we do know that we will rebuild as quickly as possible so we can return to serving our members and the community.”
The children’s Easter party and outdoor egg hunt for Saturday have been cancelled, as have all other future events at the hall.
