88-year-old struck and killed crossing Pulaski Highway in Rosedale

ROSEDALE, MD—Police are investigating after a pedestrian was stuck & killed on Pulaski Highway in Rosedale.

At around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, officers responded to the 8200-block of Pulaski Highway (21237) in  reference to a pedestrian crash.



Once on scene, detectives determined 88-year-old John Lohmeyer was struck by a 2019 Jeep Cherokee as he was attempting to cross Route 40.

Paramedics pronounced Lohmeyer dead  on the scene. Police have not stated whether or not Lohmeyer was using a crosswalk.

This crash remains part of an ongoing investigation.
