ROSEDALE, MD—A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday at Red House Run Elementary School in Rosedale.
Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers and Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski joined members of the Board of Education of Baltimore County and the Baltimore County delegation in officially cutting the ribbon on the new school.
The $66.2 million project replaces the old school building and expands the school’s state-rated capacity from 486 seats to 775. The new building, at 107,774 square feet, is almost twice the size of the former building, which was 58,495 square feet.
Red House Run Elementary School is located at 1717 Weyburn Road in Rosedale (21237). The school formally opened to students in January.
Lots of excitement in Rosedale today to celebrate our official ribbon-cutting for the new Red House Run Elementary School!
So proud of the work we accomplished here to give our kids twice as much room and the updated technology they need to succeed. pic.twitter.com/coibfeYwwJ
