Scratch-off tickets create two new lottery millionaires in Maryland

BALTIMORE, MD—Laurel has two new millionaires thanks to Maryland Lottery scratch-off wins, and five players won prizes of $100,000 or more in Baltimore, Elkton, Hyattsville, Pasadena, and Waldorf.

And, while the Mega Millions jackpot increased to $563 million over the weekend because no one matched all six numbers, two players in Maryland, one each in Elkridge and Oxon Hill, matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win $10,000. The next Mega Millions drawing will be held on February 27th.

In all, 29 Maryland Lottery tickets worth $10,000 or more were purchased or claimed in the week ending February 25, and players won prizes totaling nearly $33 million in that span.

As for the new millionaires, a winning $1 Million Royale ticket was sold the Giant store located at 1009 Fairlawn Street in Laurel. Meanwhile, a winning $1 million 100X The Cash ticket was sold 24/7 Convenience Store, located at 7707 Old Sandy Spring Road in Laurel.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Scratch-off winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date. Last claim dates for scratch-off tickets are published in the scratch-off section of mdlottery.com.
