BALTIMORE, MD—Loyola University in Baltimore City is under a “shelter-in-place” order due to a bomb threat.

According to a Monday afternoon message on the school’s website, “Loyola University Maryland has received a bomb threat potentially affecting the Evergreen campus. While the University investigates whether this is an actual threat, all members of the community are asked to shelter in place. Stay where you are and more information will follow.”

The Baltimore Police Department is currently on the scene and there is a heavy police presence in the area.

All classes are canceled until further notice.  University officials say visitors should not come to campus.
