EDGEWOOD, MD—An Aberdeen man has been charged with second-degree murder for his role in a fatal shooting at D&M’s Deck Tiki Bar and Grill in Edgewood last week.
The shooting took place at just after midnight on Friday, February 17, in the 2200-block of Pulaski Highway. When officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Dajuan Simmons of Aberdeen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Detectives were able to identify 33-year-old Parrise Marcellous Valentine of Aberdeen as the shooter and an arrest warrant was obtained. That warrant was then extended to Philadelphia, where Valentine was located on Sunday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently awaiting extradition back to Harford County.
Authorities say this shooting was not random, and the parties involved knew each other.
