COLD CASE: Police still searching for clues in Valentine’s Day 2009 murder of Towson University graduate

TOWSON, MD—As detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department continue to search for information on the Valentine’s Day 2009 murder of Towson University graduate Daniel Coverston, his parents remain hopeful that someone will come forward with information about his killing.

Daniel’s body was discovered in his apartment in the 7000-block of Lachlan Circle (21239) at just after 2:45 p.m. on February 14, 2009. Daniel had left his apartment door unlocked so friends could periodically check on him as he recovered from eye surgery. He was under a doctor’s order to rest lying face down, which is how he was found that afternoon. The 22-year-old was discovered deceased, having sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

Daniel’s family still mourns his death fifteen years later. They believe someone who attended Towson University has important information that could help detectives solve this case.
