Winter Weather Advisory issued for Tuesday morning in Baltimore area

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Baltimore area.  The Winter Storm Watch has been cancelled.

The Winter Weather Advisory covers all of Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Harford County and will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

Forecasters now say rain changing over to snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches are possible with winds gusting as high as 35 mph.



Rain is expected to change to snow between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.  Snow will be heavy at times, with rates of around 1/2 to 1 inch per hour through mid-morning on Tuesday.

Visibility may be reduced to less than one half mile at times.
