BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for northern Baltimore County.
The watch will be in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday afternoon.
Forecasters say heavy snow is possible in northern Baltimore County, with total snow accumulations of up to 5 inches. Recent warm temperatures may make it difficult for snow to stick in some areas, however.
Rain is expected to change to snow between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Snow may be heavy at times, with rates of up to 1 inch per hour through mid-morning on Tuesday. Visibility may be reduced to less than 1/2-mile at times.
The combination of wet snow and gusty winds could lead to downed trees and power lines, resulting in isolated power outages.
