Three teens arrested in connection with Sunday shooting near Rosedale

ROSEDALE, MD—Three teens have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that occurred near Rosedale on Sunday evening.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old, and 19-year-old Alexis Chavarria-Valencia in the non-fatal shooting that occurred on February 4, 2024.



At approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded to the 6000-block of Marquette Road for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, authorities located a 16-year-old male who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. The teenager was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The 16- and 17-year-old suspects were both charged as adults in this case. All three suspects remain held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center, charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and other firearms-related charges.
