Baltimore County man is Maryland’s newest lottery millionaire

BALTIMORE, MD—A Baltimore County man is laughing all the way to the bank after winning $1,000,000 on a Maryland Lottery scratch-off ticket.

“I’ve played for 20 years,” said the new Maryland millionaire, with a big smile. “I never won this big until now!”

The happy Woodlawn resident’s choice of the $20 100X the Cash scratch-off came down to its bright color. He visited Ingleside Liquors at 5648 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville to buy a six-pack of beer and one Maryland Lottery scratch-off.

As always, the anonymous winner scratched off the instant ticket in the store and was shocked to see, on the bottom row, a 100X symbol over a $10,000 prize. No one picked up on his big win and he quickly grabbed his purchased beer and scratch-off and left the busy Baltimore County establishment.

A restaurant and construction worker, the winner plans to put the life-changing funds into the bank and then decide what to do with his prize. He says he may plan a trip to visit his mother, who lives in Central America.
