JOPPA, MD—Crews battled a house fire in Joppa on Friday evening.
At just before 7:15 p.m. on January 26, units responded to the 100-block of Orsburn Drive for a report of a fire.
At the scene, firefighters found smoke showing from a one-story mobile home.
It took 20 firefighters from Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company about 30 minutes to control the blaze, which caused about $50,000 in damage, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The fire began in an interior bedroom. The cause remains under investigation.
