BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Baltimore area.
The warning will be in effect until 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Snow is accumulating more quickly than expected and heavy snow is expected overnight.
Moderate to heavy snow will continue this evening and overnight may produce snow of one-half to one inch per hour and reduce visibility to one half mile or less at times.
Total accumulations of 4–6 inches are expected, with 5–8 inches expected in northern Baltimore County. Snow intensity will taper off toward morning.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. Hazardous road conditions are expected to impact the Tuesday morning commute.
