Snow squalls, bitter cold to arrive in Baltimore on Sunday

BALTIMORE, MD—A frigid air mass is set to move into the Baltimore area on Sunday, and some snow could accompany it.

The National Weather Service says snow showers or squalls are possible between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday as an Arctic front moves through the region. Some light accumulations are possible.  Falling temperatures, gusty winds, and reduced visibility could result in dangerous travel if squalls occur.

There is a slight winter storm threat for Tuesday and Tuesday night. If the threat materializes, it may cause travel disruptions.

Behind the front, bone-chilling temperatures will move into the area.  High temperatures will be stuck in the 30s for all of next week and lows will be in the teens beginning on Tuesday night.  Forecasters say to expect sub-zero wind chills overnight throughout the coming week.
