Winter Weather Advisory issued for parts of Baltimore County

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of the Baltimore area.

The advisory covers northern Baltimore County and will be in effect from 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 until 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected with the highest amounts near the Pennsylvania border.

Precipitation is expected to begin as snow between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The snow will mix with and then change to rain between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then end during the evening hours.



Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution while traveling.  When venturing outside, residents should watch their first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for most of western Maryland.
