MDTA Police arrest fugitive wanted on 12 warrants

BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland Transportation Authority Police officers arrested an Anne Arundel County man during a traffic stop in Baltimore City Wednesday evening.

At just before 6 p.m. on January 3, 2024, an MDTA Police officer stopped a red Ford Windstar on southbound I-95 near Caton Avenue (Exit 50) for a registration violation.

During the stop, the officer attempted to identify the vehicle’s passenger after observing the passenger not restrained by a seatbelt. Even though the passenger provided a false name and different dates of birth, officers successfully identified the passenger as 27-year-old David H. Taylor of Pasadena.

Officers learned that Taylor was wanted on 12 open warrants for offenses committed in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Carroll counties. Officers took Taylor into custody and transported him to Central Booking without incident. Taylor faces additional criminal charges related to attempted fraudulent identification.
